Internet Safety

As a school we value the learning opportunities presented by the internet but are aware of its potential dangers.

For the safety of children on our school website children will be referred to by first names only
any photographs of children will not be labelled with names
where possible children will be shown in group shots
Parents have the right to refuse permission for their child to be photographed, by writing to the headteacher.

|
Rules for internet access Any internet use will be supervised by an adult
Children will have class, not individual, e mail addresses. E-mails will be sent and received only under supervision and will be filtered
Children will not be allowed to communicate with, chat or engage on a personal level with other users on the internet
All internet use, including search engines will be filtered and monitored by the ICT coordinator
